Re-opening Club in COVID 19 Times

The Club Committee and Club COVID Coordinators have been working very hard to work through, approve and implement the COVIDSafe planning requirements from Life Saving Victoria, which means that we can start opening up the Club and getting back to enjoying it in a COVIDSafe way from this Saturday 14th November 2020!

COVIDSafe Plan & Restrictions
At all times, members must follow State Government requirements/recommendations when visiting the Club, including:
– Maintaining social distancing of 1.5m
– Wearing a mask (unless you have a medical exemption, are below the required age or are eating/drinking).
– Practicing proper hygiene (soap and hand sanitiser are available in Club facilities)
If you are experiencing COVID symptoms, do not attend the Club, contact your doctor. If you come to the Club with symptoms, you will be asked to leave.

The Club COVIDSafe plan is coordinated by designated COVID Coordinators that interact regularly with LSV and the Club Committee to determine the protocols around COVIDSafe planning and Club Operations. The WS&LSC COVID Coordinators are:

Claire Howell
Joel Farrow
Marcus Stacey

The COVID Coordinators can be contacted at for any queries or questions about COVID preparations at Williamstown S&LSC. If there is an immediate issue relating to breaches of COVID protocols, please contact one of the COVID Coordinators directly. Disciplinary action relating to breaches of COVID requirements by members will be determined by the Club Committee.

QR Code – Facility Access and Contact Tracing

BEFORE accessing Club facilities, you must access the COVID Comply website through the QR Code signs located at all entrances to Club facilities. The QR code links to an online form where you must fill out your details and answers all questions. This information is gathered and kept confidential, and will only be released to the relevant agencies for contact tracing in the event of a COVID case occurring at the Club. You can access this by:

1. Using your mobile phone’s camera, take a photo of the QR Code on the poster.
2. A notification with a link will appear on your phone screen. Press the notification.
3. Fill in your details and answer the questions.

If you are struggling to access the QR Code through your phone, you can access the site by typing the following url into your phone’s internet browser:

You MUST complete the QR Code BEFORE you access any Club facilities. This only needs to be done once a day (if you use Club facilities more than once in a day.) You will need to use your own fob to access the facilities at all times. Doors are not to be left open.
You are permitted to bring guests to the Club if they are a member of another life saving club (this is currently under review), and they must also complete the QR Code form online.

If you don’t have access to a phone capable of reading the QR code, please ensure you are emailing with: when (date & time) and who will be using Club facilities BEFORE you attend the Club. We are working on a viable physical sign-in system and will update members accordingly.

If you are having issues with your fob accessing the Club facilities, please contact Gerry (Building and Grounds) at

Club Facilities
The change rooms (including toilet and shower access) will be open during the following days and times:

Monday, Wednesday, Friday: 7am-5pm
Saturday, Sunday: 7am-6pm

There may be some days that access will be restricted due to school programs being run at the Club. During these times, members are not to attend the Club to avoid cross-contamination with school groups. Notice will be given to members in advance through TeamApp.

All Club facilities will be regularly cleaned to COVIDSafe cleaning standards as stipulated by Life Saving Victoria and the Department of Health and Human Services.

Please note: There is a maximum of 5 people allowed in the change rooms at any one time (to meet State Government restrictions). If the change room is at capacity, please wait outside, maintain social distancing, and be considerate of other members when using the change rooms, especially on hot/busy days.

Access to the Board Shed, Club Hall, Gym, and Pool will be available soon!
