Starfish Nippers
WSLSC will be operating an inclusion program for people of different abilities this summer. If you are keen to have a fun experience at the beach, contact us for further details.
Our model is designed to integrate children into an existing Nipper program by adding another group to the existing Nipper structure.
The program is run at the same time and place as the club’s Nipper program but with modified activities designed to suit their ability. Children are supported by volunteers with a 1:1 ratio and their parents in activities if required.
Program aims
- To create an environment at the beach which is inclusive for everyone
- To provide participants and families a supportive and friendly experience at the beach.
- To teach lifesaving skills and experience when visiting the beach, with a program designed to meet individual abilities.
Session times
Sessions will run at the same time as the nippers program.
