Parent Help

Without the help of parents, nipper days and carnivals would not be able to be held.

Accordingly, we request that at least one adult per family registered to be part of our parent helpers group.  There are a variety of roles you can help with below, and some will even lead you to become a qualified lifesaver yourself!

Note all helpers need to have a valid Working With Children Check – see below for details.  This is to comply with life-saving standards.

All adults assisting with children must have a Working With Children Check card.  You can apply online at http://www.workingwithchildren.vic.gov.au/ and submit it to an Australia Post outlet.

If you hold a WWCC with another volunteer organization you must complete a WWCC Change of Personal Details Form to update your details to include Williamstown SLSC.  Follow this link to download the form.

The following will help you complete the application:

  • You will need 100 pts of identification (refer application form) and also a passport sized photo to submit with your application.  There is no cost associated with applying for a volunteer WWCC unless you require on for employment purposes.

How to complete section D and section E of the WWCC form

Section D: Details of Child-Related Work

You will be requested to list the areas you will be involved in. Please select the following:

  • Code No. 10 (overnight camps)
  • Code No. 72 (Clubs & Associations)

Please ensure you select that you are a volunteer.

Organizations

You will be asked to provide details for the organizations you are involved with. Please select the following as a primary organization:

Submitted WWCC application

When you have submitted your application, provide a copy of the volunteer application receipt & when issued the WWCC card to the club administrator (Leonie Newey) in person or by any of the following means:
